St Johnstone FC Business Club was formed in 2002 by a group of local business people in conjunction with the football club to help develop stronger links between the business community, supporters and St Johnstone FC.
This has evolved year on year and now boasts an expanding membership despite the economic climate and offers members a unique opportunity to have close links with like-minded people, many of whom are owners, directors or senior managers of Perthshire based businesses. The club boasts a close contact with directors and the management team at St Johnstone. Players and staff regularly attend business club events. The club is a supporters club but is keen to welcome anyone who is interested in being part of a network of like minded businesses and individuals. There is no formality to being a member but friendships develop which make it easier to do business within the local community. Any surplus funds the business club has at the end of the year are put to good use and we work with St Johnstone to highlight suitable projects. Recent works include the creation of a platform for disabled supporters in the away section along with easily accessible toilet facilities.
The club does not run any business events and there is no obligation to come to any events but to get the most out of membership it is best to get involved. This website provides an update of events but members are regularly contacted directly by email and any feedback is always welcome with all members of the committee happy to be contacted.
The committee is made up of hard working volunteers who bring so much to the members. The membership fee is £110 per year; this does however offer exceptional value as it includes full match day hospitality at one game (from selected games) at McDiarmid Park and also access to various events some of which are exclusive to members. Membership is subject to committee approval and ideally we are looking for active members who are prepared to be part of this unique club. The club does raise some funds during events but this is not its sole aim and most events are either free of charge or provided at cost. Any surplus funds are put to good use at the football club where the business club has proudly funded refurbishment of the public changing facilities, improved disabled facilities/ toilets, bought a new tannoy system and also funded a tractor since the club was formed over 10 years ago.
